Artrepreneur Matheiu Ajan is a creative force to be reckoned with.

In the UK, women account for 13% of directors who work in the film industry today (BFI Research and Statistics). Whilst just 5.3% of the film production workforce, were from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds in recent statistics published by the British Film Institute.

Mathieu Ajan, launched Bounce Cinema a film club and film fund to tackle the lack of representation in the film industry.

Mathieu says, “I wanted to create something that I wished existed when I first embarked on my creative journey. It’s important we create our own solutions. If we don’t tackle our own problems, then who will?”

The next Bounce Cinema screening is taking place on Tuesday 6th March at WeWork, Moorgate and will showcase a series of independent film makers followed by a Q & A.

This is a great opportunity to enjoy film, network and discover new talent from all walks of life whilst a percentage of the profits made from the events will contribute to supporting diverse young talent who may not have the tools they need to kick start their careers.
